I did however recently lose all my data got erased somehow when I didn't have internet I decided to play DA offline and when I did it deleted all my content. Then it will go to character customizing and you will have the option to import you character story line from the first DA game. It's easy there will be the short introduction in DA2 where it at first seems like you don't get much choice for your character creation besides from gender and class but after you complete it you will know after you encounter Flemeth she will give you a quest. You can import your character story from DAO and all the content you completed in awakenings and the dlc will transfer.
